We had a quiet 4th of July at home this year. We've been out of town the last two weekends and Steve will be occupied most of this weekend so we both wanted to do something low-key. Lucky for us, we're in charge so we get to make the decisions:)
Grandma came over and bought fire works for the girls. This was the first year we were able to do our own fireworks because they weren't allowed in our old community. The girls did a few sparklers and snakes and then we sat in the garage while Papa entertained us. 4th of July at Mesa Dunes was non existent. 4th of July in town is CRAZY. I couldn't fall asleep until midnight and I still heard fireworks going off then! Living around people under age 60 who stay up later than 8pm can be so exciting.
