Bella Reading

After realizing that we were sort of missing the boat with Bella on her interest in reading, I finally picked up the Bob Books yesterday and away she went! Now, I'm actually feeling a little bit better about waiting until now to start working on reading because she's doing it well and is confident. Being confident is a big deal for Bella. If she feels like she can't do something, just like her mama, it ends in yelling, tears and throwing.

Anyway, we're really proud of her and she even read her own Clifford bedtime book last night. I'm hoping my mom can get the rest of the Bob Book series for her through a connection at school and for her birthday, I might suggest to Matea that she gets Bella some of the phonics box sets from Dora, The Backyardigans, etc..
